From local beech to ebony to actionwood.
wood is the most ingenious material ever
There are literally thousands of combinations of different types of wood and decorative veneers. I can only show a small selection. The best thing is to talk about your wishes and ideas.
If a personal visit is not possible, then we would be happy to have a personal conversation via video call or just a phone call. But we should talk.

PROCUREMENT
Passion
Wood is not only a beautiful material, but also a valuable one. Whenever possible, I source local woods such as birch, oak, ash, pear, apple, etc. from the local area in the Vienna Woods.
For me, it's about sustainability: no long delivery routes for products that are available nearby and also about the regional circular economy.
A SECOND LIFE AS A BOW
Sustainable and recycled bows? Of course!
I also always have a heart for special woods. For example, a customer wanted a bow made from his cherry wood slatted frame and I was very happy that such beautiful wood was given a second life. Actually, the best life: as a bow
Save the RainForest
RESPONSIBILITY
Archery thrives on nature.
This affects our environment on the course and our responsibility for sustainability.
That’s why I prefer to use SaRaiFo (Save the RainForest) wood whenever possible.
This applies to the veneers, as well as, more and more recently, to the solid wood used for handles.
The wood properties are comparable to the original wood or Actionwood and I have not been able to see any real disadvantage in bow making. They are often even cheaper to buy.

DIRECT FROM THE MANUFACTURER"
Naturally well stored from the local forest.
I'm lucky here that my brother owns his own forestry business and always contributes valuable materials. Not just wood, but also antlers for special tips.
Glue, glass and core
MORE MATERIALS
The trust many bow makers have in Bearpaw Crystal Clear glass laminate is justified. Perfect clarity is necessary, especially because of my special limb design. My carbon also comes from Bearpaw, and I currently only use it occasionally in hybrids.
When it comes to adhesives, I rely on EA-40 Clear Epoxy. This is an unfilled, low-viscosity epoxy adhesive that spreads easily into thin films that are almost transparent once cured.
I prefer to use grass as a core, more specifically bamboo. In my opinion, this fast-growing variety with its long fibers has the best properties in terms of resilience, weight and processing. Each core is naturally tapered, meaning it is tapered at the ends compared to the middle.
